Could this be the best Max Mara dupe I've seen? possibly. Yes. Nasty Gal came through with this coat and since they were bought by Boohoo they've been coming through with the discounts and generous shipping. Bagged this for £50.  

My style has always been simple and because of that, I think it is important to accessorize and add small statements where you can. I love this bag from New Look not only because it was black but because of the cheater print chain handle. Details such as these are sort of my way of dabbling into a trend without investing too much effort and money into it. I'm a big fan of incorporating certain elements of whats trending into your wardrobe so as to keep your personal style current and fresh. 

Life update:

I went through a really long period of time where I didn't like talking about clothes online like I found telling people what I wore so exhausting. Like they have eyes they can see lol. But Since I started working in fashion (and getting paid) I have become endowed with so much knowledge. I think this something I needed after dedicating 3 years to an English degree. Seeing the industry up close reignited my passion and confidence when it came to fashion. However, I still don't have the iron to be rambling on about what I wear under every outfit post. I want to bring something educational helpful to each post. 

Not to mention there are so many black women doing amazing things in fashion today, all of whom I admire and wish I had seen in the magazines growing up. 

As a jump off from this I want to officially start a new series of my blog called 'BGIF Profiles' (Black Girls In Fashion). I always wish I had somewhere to find out about all the black women in fashion and what they are doing.
